Throughout each ocean expedition, the Fourbirdsaboating team will be collecting data for scientists worldwide on three main areas: marine debris and plastic pollution, flora and fauna, and human endurance.
Much of the research carried out by the team, will be replicable by the online students, as well as specific data on weather, water turbidity, and cloud formation. Much of this practical research will be linked to the students’ weekly STEM Challenges. The aim is get more students interested in research and the importance of looking after our planet.
Throughout the project, Fourbirdsaboating will be inviting guest speakers and scientists to contribute to the online platform, uploading videos or information on their own areas of research, taking student’s questions on the forum, and inspiring them to pursue their own careers in science, conservation, and research.
