Fourbirdsaboating first met the Frog team at the BETT Learning technology show in London in February 2013. They were given a trial of the platform, and were so impressed, that they decided to utilise it as a medium for bringing their expeditions on the ocean alive for students all over the world.
Fourbirdsaboating have now teamed up with Frog and will be pioneering the technology live from some of the most remote locations on the planet. The online platform will be made available free of charge by Fourbirdsaboating to a set number of users for the first ocean crossing, all of whom will be given log in details. The WizIQ platform will be made available to individual users free of charge thanks to funds raised by Fourbirdsaboating, but won’t have the same online materials as the Frog platform.
Frog has come a long way since the business started with just two people in 1999. We’re now a multi award winning business and the UK’s market leader for learning platforms, with over 10 million users worldwide”.
Frog allows teachers to create fun and engaging online learning resources without relying on anyone technical. Frog’s simple drag and drop system allows students and teachers to build almost anything they can find on the internet (videos, apps, wikis) in the safe environment of the school. Frog is used a bit like an intranet because it’s the first place students and teachers go to at the start of the day. Everyone can choose how their Frog looks so they have a completely personalised experience. Even Governors and parents can access Frog so they are always up to date on what’s happening.
Because Frog is so powerful, all the leading education providers integrate with it. Teachers can access everything they need in a day with a couple of clicks – making Frog the glue that links all the school systems.
Frog enables ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
